Summer 2018 Statement Shoes

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9

Summer is the perfect season to rock some statements pumps, sandals and espadrilles. I’m so excited for the weather to warm up in Montreal to be able to step out in one of these pairs. I’m especially loving L’Intervalle’s Spring collection so far. Their styles are affordable, but still look high-end. I’ve been wearing this pair at work almost everyday! They are so comfortable and can be paired easily to whatever I am wearing.

Stay tuned for more Summer finds to come…

Coat Trends with Asos

Fur Jacket // Grey Organic Cotton Coat // Check Wool Coat

trendy fall coatsYesterday was one of the first days that truly felt like fall in Montreal. For the first time I had to wear a coat to keep warm and I absolutely love this time of the year. I can dress up in my favorite coats and booties and be totally trendy and cozy. Fashion-wise, this is my favorite season of the year.

With this cold weather coming in, I thought I would tell you about the coat trends of the season and share a few of my favorite picks from Asos.

First off, long coats are as trendy as it gets this season, especially with tall over-the-knee boots. This is such a feminine, sexy and sophisticated look. I’ll most definitely adopt it! I love this coat with the fur collar and the golden tones. I’d totally feel like a runway model walking down the street – especially with the boots!

Then there is suede that’s making a big comeback this year. I’m not a big fan of the seventies fashion, but I have to admit that the long suede coat with black pants kind of look badass. Since I like looking badass and feeling extra confident, I guess I should add this to my shopping list…

However, if long coats aren’t your cup of tea, you could also opt for a suede biker jacket. I like this one and this one.

As you may have seen in my previous fashion post, red is one of the biggest trends this fall. I especially love tartan red shirts – they’ve been a consistent piece of clothing in my wardrobe for the past couple years. So why not mix it with a cool vest?

This one from Asos is made with a light fabric, which is perfect for October weather and it looks super cute with the fur hoodie. I also love how the model is wearing it with lots of rings and bangles, which is perfect for a style inspired by the eighties. How good would it look with black skinny jeans and studded booties?

As you may have noticed already, fur is not going anywhere. Although you may opt for something discreet such as the fur hoodie or collar, you can also try the total fur look that’s perfect for a chic event.

I can’t say I’m a big fan of the very fluffy fur coats, but I think more discreet fur vest like this one are very wearable and chic. However, make sure to wear something low-key underneath to keep it well-put together!

Nonetheless, if you do like bold statements, check out this leopard fur coat and this extra fluffy one. After all, bloggers and celebrities are rocking the look on the streets, so why shouldn’t you?

fall coat trends 3The last trend I want to mention is the cape, which continues to go strong this season. In fact, many designers opted for this look on the Fall 2015 ready-to-wear runways, such as Burberry Prorsum and Tommy Hilfiger.

This is another trend that looks great with over-the-knee boots. I like this one from Asos with its earthy tones. It can easily be worn on work days just like over the weekend.

I hope you enjoyed reading this fall trends report and that it will inspire you to upgrade your wardrobe with a few fresh pieces. All that’s left to do is to plan your pumpkin patch day with your friends and family and enjoy the sights of all the beautiful leaves 🙂 I’m excited just talking about it!

Lady in Red

all red for fall

Zara Sweater // Zara Fedora // Aldo Shoes // Swatch // Asos Scarf // Aldo Bag // Asos Top // Dior Nail Polish // Shopbop Dress

Red is without a doubt one of the biggest fall trends. I’ve personally always been very fond of this color so I’m so excited to incorporate more red pieces into my wardrobe this fall. To me, it’s one of those colors that goes well on everyone, no matter if you’re a blonde or a brunette, and it’s so easy to wear. You can go for a bright sweater if you enjoy wearing colors or go with a simple, yet sophisticated red watch and an all black look. Bright reds and burgundy tones are both just as trendy so you can opt for one of the other depending on your preference. Now who’s ready to be a lady in red this autumn?
